Job summary

Kids Central in Wildwood, FL is recruiting an Independent Living Coordinator I to support youth aging out of foster care. The role focuses on ensuring youth gain knowledge, life skills, and resources for independent living, with emphasis on education, employment readiness, and building supportive networks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with waiver eligibility if needed.
• 2–3 years of Child Welfare experience preferred.
• Must maintain clear background and driving record; Florida driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary case manager for youth 18-23.
• Schedules Transition Meetings and Success Plans in the youth’s home.
• Completes quarterly home visits with youth age 17 in licensed foster care.
• Tracks educational progress and youth progress in EFC programs.
• Attends court hearings and prepares status reports for youth ages 17–22.
