Job summary

Rite of Passage, a mission-driven organization, is seeking a PRN Therapist for its Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia.

You would provide flexible set or on-call hours, up to 20 hours per week, working weekdays 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., meeting with youth and offering therapeutic support to supplement the primary therapist. Requires a Master’s degree in social work or a related mental health field, Virginia licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPC) or eligible (RIC/SiSW), and at least two years of

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited School of Social Work or a Master’s degree in a related Mental Health field.
• Licensed by the State of Virginia as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC OR Licensed as a Resident in Counseling (RIC) or Supervisee in Social Work (SiSW)
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families
• Be able to perform a therapeutic restraint
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test
• Be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide either set or on-call hours, working up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Meet with clients and provide additional therapeutic support to help supplement the work of the primary therapist
• PRN Therapists may have opportunities to facilitate therapeutic groups based on areas of interest and needs of children in the program
