Job summary

Rite of Passage seeks a Youth Group Supervisor for Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia. The role focuses on developing daily living programs within cottages and supervising Youth Care Workers to support youth treatment plans.

Salary starts at $58,240, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, life insurance, a 401(k) match, and PTO accrual after 90 days. Monday–Friday shifts with rotating on-call coverage offer opportunities for growth and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology with 2 years of professional experience working with children (1 year in a residential facility).
• High school diploma plus 5 years’ experience with children, incl. 2 years in a residential setting.
• Combination of education/experience approved by the department.
• 1 year of Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility experience.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Group Supervisors have the responsibility for the development of the daily living program within each cottage.
• Group Supervisors will be responsible for the training and supervision of the Youth Care Workers within their cottage.
• Group supervisors provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the youth.
• Group supervisors work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan.
• Group supervisors perform standard level paraprofessional work in every aspect of the program operations.
• This position reports to the Director of Group Living.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of at-risk youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Group Supervisor at Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia.

Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources. Pay

Salary based on education, experience and qualifications. Starting at $58,240.

To be considered you should

• Be at least 21 years of age
• A bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology & two years of professional experience working with children one year of which must have been in a residential facility for children
• OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years professional experience working with children with at least 2 years in a residential facility for children
• OR a combination of education and experience working with children as approved by the department
• 1-Year Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule

Monday- Friday, varied shifts based on operational need. Rotating on call shifts (with bonus) required.
