Job summary

Arbour Counseling Services seeks a Therapeutic Mentor to join our community-based treatment team in Fall River, MA. This role involves one-on-one, strength-based youth support, skill-building, and collaboration with therapists to advance treatment goals.

The position offers in-person work, flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, tuition assistance, and strong career development within a respected behavioral health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
• A valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Daily access to a working, registered and insured vehicle.
• Excellent in both written and verbal communications.
• Ability to independently plan and organize one’s own schedule and client services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft computer systems.
• Strong time management skills and organization skills.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged.
• Candidates must possess citizenship work documentation.
• Candidates must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation.
• Optional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meeting individually with youth in the community for Skill Building.
• Coordinate with youth’s therapist and guardian to assist in achieving treatment goals.
• Assist youth in building various coping, life, social, behavior and emotion management skills.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, from therapist treatment plan to address youth’s mental health, behavioral and emotional needs by education and practice in emotional needs by education and practice in emotional identification and management and skills coaching.
• Coordinate care with collateral contacts.
• Provide telephone coaching and support with youth as needed.
• Complete documentation of all meetings and collateral contacts.
• Attend weekly staff/department meeting and supervision.
