The Tinley Park Public Library is seeking an energetic and creative Youth & Teen Services Assistant to collaborate with the Youth & Teen Services team. The role includes assisting patrons with reference and reader’s advisory, collection development, and occasional planning and facilitation of programming for children and teens.

Strong computer skills and comfort with Apple devices and Microsoft Office are valued.

Qualificações

• Two years of professional experience working with children (public library or educational setting preferred).
• Excellent oral communication and written communication via email/chat.
• Evening and weekend hours are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patrons with reference and reader’s advisory at the public service desk.
• Support collection development and routine department duties.
• Plan and facilitate programming for toddlers to school‑aged children; create displays when needed.
