Job summary

Community Health Resources seeks a Youth Worker at the Rose Center in Norwich, CT. This per-diem position supports youth in acute behavioral health crises with de-escalation, stabilization, and coordination to ongoing care.

The role involves supervising residents, assisting with activities of daily living, and collaborating with families and clinicians to implement treatment plans. A valid driver’s license and GED are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitors self-administration of client medications as required by policy.
• Collaborates with co-workers and clients using appropriate communication tools.
• Teaches and assists residents in activities of daily living.
• Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks per supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and interventions.
• Collaborates and coordinates care with providers and families.
• Addresses medical and psychiatric needs of residents.
• Maintains documentation per standards.
• Participates in staff meetings and trainings.
