Job summary

Community Health Resources is seeking a Youth Worker to join the Rose Center in Norwich, CT. This full-time role includes overnight hours (Tuesday-Saturday, 11pm-7am) and responsibilities across clinical support, supervision, and program operations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of experience with a relevant population; a valid driver's license is required. The program emphasizes trauma-informed care and collaboration with families and providers.

Qualifications

  • Education: High diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver's license required with good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains physical environment and program standards set by funders, accreditors, and agency policies.
  • Monitor self-administration of client medications in accordance with the agency medication policies and procedure as program may require.
  • Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to effectively collaborate with co-workers and clients.
  • Teaches and assists all residents in areas of developmentally appropriate activities of daily living.
  • Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
  • Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one intervention as directed by the treatment plan.
  • Collaborates and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
  • Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.
