Job summary

Pathway Caring for Children is seeking a Part-Time Youth Support Specialist to mentor and support children and teens in their homes and communities. You will create flexible schedules and engage youth in real-life skills, community activities, and supportive conversations to foster independence and confidence.

Working with the clinical team, you will help youth set and reach targets for emotional regulation, coping and safety goals while modeling healthy boundaries and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma/GED.
• Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and build positive relationships with children and teens.
• Plan and participate in fun, skill-building and community activities.
• Help youth practice coping, social, emotional regulation, and independent living skills.
• Model healthy relationships, boundaries, and decision-making.
• Provide supervision and transportation when needed.
• Work alongside Pathway's clinical team to help youth build on their strengths.

Make your own schedule with as few or as many hours as you want!This is a GET INVOLVED in the life of a child and teen kind of role. You may spend time talking with a teen, practicing real-life skills, getting out into the community, participating in recreational activities, or helping a young person work through a tough moment.
