Job summary

Pathway Caring for Children is seeking a Part-Time Youth Support Specialist to mentor children and teens in their homes and communities in Canton, OH. You can set your own schedule with flexible hours and engage youth in meaningful activities to build skills and confidence.

The role focuses on mentoring, coping skills, and independence, with support from Pathway's clinical team to help youths reach personal goals. A valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma/GED.
• Experience working with children or adolescents with emotional or behavioral needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and build positive relationships with children and teens.
• Plan and participate in fun, skill-building and community activities.
• Help youth practice coping, social, emotional regulation, and independent living skills.
• Model healthy relationships, boundaries, and decision-making.
• Support individualized treatment and safety goals.
• Provide supervision and transportation when needed.
• Work alongside Pathway's clinical team to help youth build on their strengths.
