Job summary

Aspiranet in Antioch, CA is seeking a Youth Specialist to join the Family and Community Services division. The role involves providing care and supervision to youth placed at the Receiving Center, performing screenings, and supporting safety and service plans.

This full-time, on-site position offers a pay range of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour and requires a BA/BS in social work or related field with experience, plus state-clearance and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in social work, psychology or related field with 1 year experience in a child welfare or behavioral health field with children with complex trauma and resultant challenging behaviors.
• Or 2 full-time years' experience in a child welfare or behavioral health field with children with complex trauma and resultant challenging behaviors.
• Must meet all state-required conditions of employment, including fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health physical, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• The Youth Specialist is responsible for the care and supervision of children and youth placed at the Receiving Center.
• Major responsibilities include providing care and supervision of youth, completing youth screenings, implementing a youth's service and safety plans, working one-on-one with youth utilizing interventions in support of identified behaviors, medication administration, documentation, transporting youth, liaison with public health nurse and county social workers, and maintaining the center site.
