Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking a Youth Support Specialist (DSP - Direct Support Professional) in Columbus, OH. The role offers hands-on care to individuals with developmental disabilities and a pathway to more advanced healthcare experience.

The position includes paid training, paid orientation, a full benefits package for full-time employees, PTO, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement and more. Flexibility in schedules is available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Fewer than 6 points on driving record (last 3 years).
• Able to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily living activities.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.

ICF Youth Support Specialist (DSP - Direct Support Professional)

At ViaQuest ICFs, our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required!
