Job summary

Elizabeth Layton Center (ELC) is seeking a part-time Youth Specialist in Ottawa, KS to join our CBS team. You will provide supervision and psychosocial services to youth with severe emotional disturbance across schools, homes, and community settings under licensed QMHP supervision.

The role focuses on education, skill-building, and supporting independence and community inclusion. Evening and weekend hours may be required, with a collaborative, supportive team environment and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must complete 40 hours of training or be willing to attend on-site training.
• Must pass a security check as required by Medicaid Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one psychosocial rehabilitation services for youth.
• Develop and lead structured psychosocial group activities.
• Support personal goals and treatment plans for youth.
• Maintain a safe and productive environment during attendance.
• Coordinate with other mental health staff and work jointly as indicated.
• May provide transportation to activities if a good driving record is maintained.
