Job Title: Youth Support Specialist

Program: SAIL - Youth Program

Location: 591 Lakehurst Road, Toms River, NJ

Position Type: Full Time

Salary: $40,000.00

Job Description/Summary

The Youth Support Specialist (Case Manager) is responsible for providing structured partial care program services. An ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, creative, engaging, and be able to work effectively on a team. Will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to manage group dynamics among adolescents (13-17 year olds). This is a great position for a recent college graduate with psychology, social work, and ABA background.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing direct care services; works with persons served & multidisciplinary team to plan & implement the plan of care & subsequent reviews reporting changes in service.
• Assists clients in preparing for group activities; plans and facilitates therapeutic groups and activities, on the topics of: coping skills, anger management, life skills, health and nutrition, communication, values clarification, and goal setting.
• Provides transportation of all program participants to and from program and adheres to all transportation policies and procedures.
• Organizes and maintains presentation of the program group spaces and supply areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ driver’s license
• Complete background check/Fingerprinting requirement
• CPR/AED/First Aide (provided)

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years' experience in the provision of appropriate services to youth;
