The Youth Support Specialist (Case Manager) at Preferred Behavioral Health Group’s SAIL - Youth Program provides structured partial care services for adolescents aged 13-17 in a small, collaborative treatment environment.

You will work with an experienced multidisciplinary team to plan and implement care, facilitate group activities, and support families while maintaining client-centered, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with two years' youth services experience.
• Group experience
• Proficient written and verbal communication
• Empathy and compassion
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Satisfactory background check, including a CARI check
• Maintains CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services; work with the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement the care plan and reviews.
• Transport program participants to and from the program per policies; manage daily transportation route.
• Prepare and facilitate group activities covering psychoeducation, nutrition, group counseling, coping skills, and more.
• Manage milieu including behavioral modification, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.

Job Description/Summary

The Youth Support Specialist (Case Manager) is responsible for providing structured partial care program services. An ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, creative, engaging, and be able to work effectively on a team. Will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to manage group dynamics among adolescents (13-17 year olds). This is a great position for a recent college graduate with psychology, social work, and ABA background.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing direct care services; works with persons served and the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement the plan of care and subsequent reviews reporting changes in service.
• Provides transportation of all program participants to and from program and adheres to all transportation policies and procedures. Creates and manages daily transportation route.
• Prepares and facilitates group activities, which involve psycho education, medication education, nutrition, group counseling, behavior management, community meetings, coping skills, pre-vocational skills, alcohol/drug education, and support groups.
• Provides management to milieu; including behavioral modification, crisis intervention, moderating group dynamics, conflict resolution, and contraband searching

Qualifications

• Valid NJ driver’s license
• Complete background check/Fingerprinting requirement
• CPR/AED/First Aide (provided)

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years' experience in the provision of appropriate services to youth;

• Satisfactory criminal background check, including a CARI check
