Job summary

Jobtailor in Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated peer mentor to support youth and young adults in Allegheny County. You will work as a positive role model, advocate, and connector, helping participants set goals, navigate barriers, and access opportunities through individual and team efforts.

Responsibilities include coordinating youth involvement, teaching self-advocacy, and attending meetings and home visits.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to positively and appropriately self-disclose related to lived child-serving experiences.
• Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances are required.
• Must have reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license to attend meetings and home visits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year combined work experience
• Personal life experience in one or more of the child-serving human service systems
• Ability to positively and appropriately self-disclose regarding that experience
• Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to attend meetings and make home visits
