Allendale seeks a Youth Support Specialist to actively engage in emergency shelter and transitional living programs, delivering individual and group activities, guidance, and support for residents’ safety, crisis stabilization, health, and education. You will help maintain records and assist with the physical environment.

The role includes 1st and 2nd shift coverage. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred Bachelor’s in human services or related field and up to 5

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in human services or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• 5 years of equivalent experience acceptable.
• Experience in youth services or trauma-informed care preferred.
• Ability to work 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities

• The Youth Support Specialist works within the emergency shelter and transitional living program to implement individual and group programs, guidance and support for residents’ safety, crisis stabilization, health, education, and welfare.
• Care for the physical environment and maintain appropriate records.
