Job summary

Clinica Romero in Los Angeles is seeking a SUD Supportive Services Coordinator to educate the community on youth substance use risks and to support families affected by SUD. You will oversee BRIDGE childcare and connect youth to resources while guardians attend services.

You will maintain documentation, assist with QA and monthly reporting, coordinate care, provide referrals for Medi-Cal enrollment, and deliver services in Spanish when needed. This role is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in the drug & alcohol field with youth preferred.
• Active Registered Substance Abuse/Addiction Counselor credential is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Drug Medi-Cal clients is a plus.
• Understanding of Drug Medi-Cal requirements/process is a plus.
• Enrollment in Child Development Classes (8 units min) or proof of completion from a Child Development Program.
• Reliable transportation as position requires travel.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with minors, youth, and young children, providing on-site childcare oversight while parents receive SUD services.
• Support children’s emotional and social development and communicate observations to parents as appropriate.
• Maintain documentation including BRIDGE program tracking and outcome reporting; keep childcare records.
• Maintain a clean and safe childcare environment; assist with food preparation and meal service.
• Identify opportunities to educate individuals and families about SUD risks among minors.
• Conduct community outreach, participate in events, and educate families about youth SUD.
• Conduct educational sessions and group presentations on various SUD topics.
• Provide guidance, support, and care coordination for high-risk families.
• Provide referrals to community resources and Medi-Cal enrollment assistance.
• Ensure all documentation and reports meet QA, SUD Director, county, and BRIDGE requirements.
• Ensure patient/client charts meet county/state compliance and document services timely.
• Assist in data collection for monthly reporting and client engagement in program services.
• Provide assessments, counseling, treatment plans, and crisis intervention as applicable.
• Support recruitment for new clients within youth and adult populations.
• Report suspected child or elder abuse per mandated reporting requirements.
• Coordinate appointments and follow-up care; provide Spanish-language education and support when needed.
