Job summary

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Nevada seeks an LADC to provide direct client services, conduct clinical assessments, and update treatment plans under Medicaid requirements.

You will deliver individual and group counseling, maintain compliant documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support youth and families through trauma‑informed, strengths‑based care. This full‑time position requires licensure and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a clinical license in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
• Minimum two years post-graduate experience providing substance use services.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, and/or families.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and co-occurring disorders (preferred).
• Experience with Medicaid-billable or grant-funded programs (preferred).
• Ability to work independently while aligning with agency policies and funding requirements (preferred).
• Willingness to supervise other clinicians, interns, and trainees (preferred).
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and continuing education.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Complete annual continuing education as required by department of family services and Medicaid to maintain approved provider status.
• Age minimum of 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use screenings, assessments, and intakes in compliance with Medicaid and grant requirements.
• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based or evidence-informed practices.
• Develop, implement, and update medical-necessity-driven quarterly treatment plans.
• Deliver crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and harm-reduction support as appropriate.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with Medicaid Chapters 100 and 400, grants, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 Standards.
