Job summary

NITELINES USA, INC seeks a Drug / Alcohol Abuse Counselor in Estacada, Oregon to support at‑risk youth (ages 16–24) within a Job Corps program, focusing on early detection, assessment, treatment planning, and education while ensuring privacy and HIPAA compliance.

Required: bachelor’s degree in counseling/psychology or 90 college credits, 300 hours addiction coursework, 4,000 hours supervised experience, and CPR certification. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with monthly trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, or a behavioral science field, or 90 college credit hours.
• 300 hours of alcohol and drug-specific coursework.
• 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as part of a healthcare team to serve financially disadvantaged youth (16–24).
• Attend monthly calls, webinars, and DOL trainings; on-site trainings as available during regular hours.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant privacy and confidentiality of student health records.
• Provide substance misuse and abuse services focusing on early detection, diagnosis, and prevention/education.
• Document each student interaction in the Student Health Record (SHR) and related systems.
• Coordinate with CMHC and health staff on co-occurring conditions and long-term care planning.
• Report adverse student behavior incidents promptly to the Health and Wellness Director or COR.
