Job summary

The YMCA of the East Valley is seeking a part-time Sports Official II in Highland, CA to support program delivery, member engagement, and class safety. You will teach basic skills to children, promote a positive environment, and ensure accurate records and clear communication with staff and participants.

Qualifications

• The ability to lead a group of children (ages 3 and up).
• Experience teaching tumbling or gymnastics is desirable.
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer/member service to participants, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• Support departmental and Association goals through communication, teamwork, and accountability.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required professional development activities.
• Promote a safe atmosphere at the YMCA; be professional, alert, courteous, and tactful with all members and staff.
• Must notify supervisor of any broken equipment or maintenance concerns in the appropriate time period.
• Responsible for informing class participants of upcoming events and sessions.
