Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Sports Specialty Instructor to implement sport-specific training and skill development, guiding beginners and sharpening advanced athletes.

Under Sports Director supervision, you will emphasize member service, program knowledge, safety, and strong communication with members and staff. This role is onsite at the Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA and requires background checks and certifications within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coaching or instructing experience (or 2+ years of competitive experience at college level) in the sport.
• Required certifications: Safe Sport and CDC Heads Up Concussion; CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in sports activities.
• Participate in events related to their sport.
• Maintain relationships with schools, parents, participants, and groups.
• Create an environment with activities to support program goals.
• Respond to inquiries from participants, parents, volunteers, or stakeholders.
