Job summary

Feith Family YMCA in Port Washington, WI is seeking a part-time Youth Sports Instructor to help run after-school and weekend youth sport activities for ages 3-12. Under the Youth Sports Director, you will assist in delivering the curriculum and supervising participants.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, maintaining safety, communicating with parents, and adapting activities to various skill levels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Previous participation in or knowledge of sports preferred.
  • Experience with a diverse population.
  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to interact with children at their cognitive level.

  • Communicates appropriately with parents and reports any problems or concerns to Youth Sports Director.
  • Maintains the safety of all participants.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Sports available to teach throughout the year: Soccer, Basketball, Tee Ball/Coach Pitch, Track and Field, Flag Football, Dodgeball.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies within the Child Abuse Prevention handbook.

Youth Sports Instructor

Part Time Port Washington, WI, US

Status : under 29 hours/week

Location : Feith Family YMCA (465 Northwoods Rd. Port Washington, WI 53074)

Wage : $15/hour

Benefit Package Including : Free Y Membership; Program Discounts including Child Care, School Age Care, and Day Camp

Hours: Thursday evening and/or Saturday mornings

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Youth Sports Director the Youth Sports Instructor is responsible for assisting and leading the assigned youth sport programs.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Stand, run, kick, throw, bend, and catch.
  • Noise level is usually moderate.
