Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is seeking a Youth Development Professional for Sports & Recreation at our Gainesville site. The role focuses on planning and delivering youth programs, fostering healthy leisure, and building life skills through structured activities.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, recruiting youth, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment 2:00 PM–7:00 PM, M–F. High School diploma or GED required; DCF background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of youth development
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues
• Ability to work with the public
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs specific to Sport and Recreation
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement diverse sports and recreation programs for members.
• Recruit and retain youth for sports programs.
• Collaborate with staff to execute programs during the school year.
• Coach teams in Boys & Girls Clubs leagues.
• Ensure safety, quality, and appearance of the Club during activities.
• Prepare weekly reports for leadership.
