Job summary

The Boys and Girls Clubs of NE Florida in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Youth Development Professional to join our team and support after-school activities for youth ages 6–18. You will help plan, supervise, and implement a diverse set of sports and recreation programs and promote positive youth development.

This regular part-time role involves coordinating programming with staff, ensuring safety and quality in activities, and coaching participants in local league activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of youth development
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues
• Ability to work with the public
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs specific to Sport and Recreation
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing a variety of sports and recreation programs for members of all ages, including Triple Play, Play Ball, RBI, ALL STARS, Jr. RBI, & Play Breaks
• Recruiting and retaining youth for sports programs
• Working with other staff in the club to help implement these programs throughout the school year
• Coaching teams in BGCNF sports leagues
