Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia seeks a UACS SFH Group Leader to support after-school programming at six partner sites. You will coordinate with Penn student-athletes and high school leaders to deliver age-appropriate sports activities and youth mentorship.

You’ll train mentors, ensure safe environments, and connect athletics to academic enrichment, with a focus on leadership and community engagement.

Qualifications

Experience coaching, teaching, mentoring, or working with K-12 students.
Knowledge of youth sports and age-appropriate coaching practices.
Ability to work with student-athletes, coaches, or youth leadership programs.
Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred in education or social services.

Responsibilities

Support implementation of sports-based programming across UACS partner schools.
Train and coach high school students serving as mentors and coaches for K-8 participants.
Coordinate with staff and Penn coaches to support schedules, practice plans, and daily programming.
Observe programming and provide constructive feedback to strengthen quality and consistency.
Foster a safe, welcoming environment promoting sportsmanship and inclusion.
