Job summary

The City of Burlington, Vermont seeks a Youth Soccer Site Coordinator to oversee K-5 programs at Calahan, Leddy or Roosevelt, and to officiate as needed. The position requires Sunday availability 12-5pm from August 30 to October 18 (except Sept 6).

Responsibilities include supervising volunteers and referees, conducting youth clinics, ensuring safety, reporting incidents, and maintaining a clean, safe playing area. CPR/AED certification is required upon hiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR/AED certification upon hiring.
• Experience leading youth programs or athletics preferred.
• Ability to supervise and organize groups of children.
• Ability to work with volunteers and staff in a recreation setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Fun Day and youth league games.
• Assist Athletic Program Manager in supervising volunteer coaches and referees.
• Conduct sports-specific youth clinics.
• Check playing area for safety hazards and report deficiencies.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor; administer First Aid as required.
• Be on site 30 minutes before program start for setup and safety checks.
• Tear down and clean up at conclusion; maintain a safe environment.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; communicate professionally with participants.
• Other duties as assigned.
