Job summary

The City of Burlington is seeking a Youth Soccer Site Coordinator to oversee K-5 soccer programs at Calahan, Leddy or Roosevelt. Duties include supervising volunteers, officiating as needed, and conducting youth clinics. On-site Sundays 12-5pm from Aug 30 to Oct 18 (except Sept 6).

  • Must have a desire to work with children and demonstrate enthusiasm, dependability, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Hold or obtain current CPR/AED certification upon hiring.
  • Ability to understand and comply with City standards, safety rules and personnel policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Fun Day and youth league games.
  • Assist Athletic Program Manager in supervising volunteer coaches, referees and officiate as needed.
  • Assist Athletic Program Manager in conducting sports-specific youth clinics.
  • Check area for safety hazards and report deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Report all accidents/incidents occurring within jurisdiction to supervisor.
  • Administer proper First Aid as required.
  • Required to be on site 30 minutes before the program starts for set up/preparation and to ensure playing area is safe and ready for use.
  • Required to tear down and clean up at the conclusion of program.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and staff trainings as required.
  • Fair and courteous treatment of all participants, coaches and spectators.
  • Communicate with participants, volunteers, referees and other staff in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions
