DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Coaching Coordinator will play a key role in managing and supporting our team of instructors across Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Coaching Coordinator is responsible for managing instructor performance through regular evaluation and performance conversations. In this role, you will work with the Executive Director. You will be responsible for ensuring that all instructors meet the standards of program quality and creating a liberating culture within the team and the organization. We are looking for a motivated individual who understands coaching, has exceptional relational skills, is extremely organized and passionate about our mission.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  1. Manage instructor performance through regular evaluations, training, performance discussions, and performance improvement plans.
  2. Provide feedback on instructors to all stakeholders.
  3. Partner with Executive Director to identify staffing needs season to season.
  4. Screen, interview and hire instructors.
  5. Develop strong relationships with part-time instructors; identify key individuals that can grow within our organization.
  6. Create and manage schedules for part-time instructors across different territories.
  7. Lead regular instructor meetings to discuss new initiatives, trends, etc.
  8. Create initiatives that further elevate our core values and provide a positive experience for our part-time instructors.
  9. Work with operations team to identify key performance indicators that improve NPS scores and share results with team of instructors.
  10. Weekly meetings with Executive Director to discuss and analyze program quality and needs.
Coaching:
  1. Prior soccer experience is not required. We only require the passion for positively impacting children’s lives and look for individuals that are safety conscious, caring, organized, responsible and energetic.
  2. You will be the face of Soccer Shots and responsible for executing incredible sessions that showcase what Soccer Shots to new instructors and key stakeholders.
  3. Coach up to 20-25 sessions per week per season. Where possible, use coaching sessions as training opportunities for instructors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  2. Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Minimum 1-3 years of event planning or customer service experience.
  4. Experience working or supervising part-time employees.
  5. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  6. Proficient in G-Suite and MS Office.
  7. Warm, motivated and approachable personality.
ROLE/CLASSIFICATION:

The job description above is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Working Hours/Location/Schedule:

The position requires a minimum of 40 hours of work per week or more depending on business needs. This position has weekend and weeknight requirements as many of our programs take place during these times. You will work out details of your weekly agenda with the Executive Director.

You will be expected to work out of New York City as well as travel to partner sites in the Brooklyn and Manhattan region. No central office but candidate will be required to work and live in NYC Central region.

Candidate will be expected to walk, run, stoop, reach, travel using public transportation, and sit for extended periods of time.
