Job summary

Coach Across America is seeking AmeriCorps members for a half-time coaching role to support youth sports programs in Southern California. The position requires completing 900 hours of service over one year in collaboration with local nonprofits and schools.

The role includes a biweekly stipend totaling $12,150 and an education award of $3,697.50 upon completion, with additional camp dates and regular weekly coaching hours in fall/winter schedules.

Qualifications

• Passion for youth development and mentoring.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• AmeriCorps eligibility: U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Must have or be working toward a High School diploma/GED.
• Successful completion of criminal history background checks.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coach youth during programs and clinics for AmeriCorps term.
• Assist with scheduling, logistics, and program support.
• Maintain clear communication with families and partners.
• Attend orientation, trainings, meetings, and service days; support special initiatives.
