Job summary

Soccer Shots - SE Mass is seeking an energetic Children’s Soccer Coach to inspire young players in Barnstable, MA. This role combines a love of soccer with the joy of teaching kids in a fun, positive setting. If you enjoy sports and making a difference, we want to hear from you!

You will lead age-appropriate sessions, teach core skills, follow Soccer Shots curriculum, and maintain a high-energy, supportive environment while communicating progress to parents. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in coaching, teaching, or childcare.
• Basic soccer knowledge and passion for the sport.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with kids and parents.
• Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a child-first mindset.
• Reliable transportation to travel to program locations throughout the Southeast Mass area.
• Must pass a background check prior to employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer sessions for children in a safe and encouraging environment.
• Teach fundamental soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork.
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans aligned with the Soccer Shots curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, high-energy atmosphere that keeps kids motivated and excited to learn.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding player progress and session updates.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and programs.
• Set up and break down equipment before and after each session.
