Job summary

Delaware LLC is seeking dedicated professionals to supervise youth in a shelter, ensuring safety and well-being while guiding daily routines and crisis support. The role involves observing behavior, teaching rules, and maintaining records for youth under care.

Responsibilities include interviews, counseling, eligibility determinations, service planning, and collaboration with families. Some travel statewide and crisis intervention may be required; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in professional health or human service work.
• OR Associate's degree AND two years' experience in professional health or human service work.
• OR Bachelor's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for health, safety and welfare of clients and assist in obtaining services.
• Interview clients and family members to gather information and resources.
• Determine eligibility for social service programs offered by the agency or community.
• Develop and implement service plans with goals and methods to achieve outcomes.
• Conduct individual and group counseling to aid social development.
• Assess progress and make recommendations on plans and discharge.
• Prepare progress reports, court reports and maintain client records; enforce court orders.
• Intervene in crisis situations and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.
