Center for Human Services is seeking an Entry Level Youth Shelter Specialist at Hutton House in Modesto, CA. The role provides supervision and guidance to youth within shelter programs, using non-judgmental, positive youth development practices.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, facilitating activities, and ensuring documentation and communication with supervisors. Requires a high school diploma or GED and demobj TB screening as part of agency policy.

Formación

• Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Meet all state licensing requirements for grouphomes; including at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Experience working with youth or young adults and/or working in shelters or group homes preferred.
• Experience and ability to work effectively with youth, adults and community members.
• Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening, ifrequired.

Responsabilidades

• Assure a safe, non-judgmental environment for program participants.
• Maintain facility according to licensing and/or agency standards.
• Operate agency vehicles to transport clients and complete routine deliveries and pick-ups.
• Establish and monitor daily living routine and reinforce positive, productive self-sufficient lifestyle for all youth.
• Provide crisis prevention, intervention and management following agency protocols.
• Build rapport with youth and act as a positive role model and safe adult.
