Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Services Worker at Western Secure Treatment Unit in Emlenton, Pennsylvania.

About Western Secure Treatment Unit (WSTU)

WSTU is a secure post-adjudication facility that provides comprehensive services to young men (14-21), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. We focus on education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions to empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility includes residential dormitories, on-site schooling, a vocational CTE program, dining hall, and extracurricular activities. Pay and Benefits

• Pay: starting at $21/hour with 4 hours of guaranteed overtime per pay period

Responsibilities

Youth Services Workers provide safety and 24/7 in-person supervision at a secure residential facility. Responsibilities include:

• Providing for the physical, personal, and health needs of youth through individual counseling and skill development
• Creating a supportive environment that meets youth needs
• Monitoring and documenting behaviors and activities
• Participating in educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities
• Collaborating with professional staff to establish and meet treatment plan goals

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates should:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 21 years old
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen (THC testing no longer required pre-employment), physical, and TB test
• Pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Schedule

We are looking to fill both Day and Night shifts with a schedule of 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off.
