Job summary

West Virginia Department of Human Services is seeking a Youth Services Supervisor to lead a team delivering critical services to youth and families across multiple programs.

You will supervise staff, oversee program delivery, ensure compliance with state laws, and coordinate with partners. A Bachelor's degree and strong communication are required, with travel and on‑call duties typical for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in supervising social work staff or similar teams is required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of policy, law, and procedures regarding social services and programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate social work staff delivering services.
• Oversee program delivery, caseload distribution, and documentation standards.
• Provide guidance on complex or high‑risk cases and ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners, courts, and service providers.
• Support staff through coaching, training, and crisis response.
• Participate in on‑call supervisory coverage as required.
