Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminology, Psychology or related field and 1 year related experience.
• Equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security, order and discipline to prevent disturbance and ensure safety.
• Lead shifts as first line lead-worker to ensure staffing and security.
• Conduct in-service training and staff development programs.
• Assist in training, assigning, and leading subordinate staff.
• Evaluate and implement programs for residents' daily living and social skills.
• Counsel residents in-group and individual sessions.
• Review youth files and provide oral/written reports to the Program Manager.
• Assign and monitor residents' activities and supervise physical education.
• Transport residents to court, hospitals or other facilities as needed.
• Possibly restrain violent residents and pursue if necessary.
• Ensure proper shift transition and documentation; coordinate with parents and agencies.
