Job summary

Loudoun County Government seeks a Youth Services Supervisor to oversee operations at the Youth Detention Center and RISE Youth Shelter in Leesburg, VA. You will manage shift activities, admissions, releases, and control room operations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for at-risk youth.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3 years in criminal justice/related settings, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety precautions and regulations in juvenile services.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and manage crises with youth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Background check and credential requirements including CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24-hour secure facility operations including admissions and releases.
• Supervise staff, provide coaching, training, and performance appraisals.
• Administer medications following Virginia guidelines and requirements.
• Maintain program documentation and ensure policy compliance.
• Respond to crises and manage high-risk situations.
