Findlay-Hancock County Public Library is seeking a Page to assist with shelving, customer service, and general library tasks. The role involves helping patrons, organizing materials, and supporting department projects in a busy public library environment.
Ideal candidates are 16+ years old, with basic computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities. Evening and weekend availability may be required. This is an entry-level, on-site position at the Findlay library.
Description
Under direct supervision, the Page shelves and organizes library materials, maintains shelves and performs special projects. Pages also respond to general questions from patrons.

The incumbent may be exposed to: Physical: Frequent walking, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and pushing carts. Moving/lifting up to 30 pounds, pushing up to 70 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Environmental: Typical office setting with no extreme temperatures or fumes. Minimal, if any, exposure to hazardous materials. Exposure to dust.
Education: Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age. Work permit required for students. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Entry level.
Helpful Skills and Abilities: Effective verbal and interpersonal skills to respond to coworkers, supervisor, and patrons. Organization, prioritizing and coordinating multiple tasks. Basic communication skills. Basic computer skills.
Incumbent may be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
