Job summary

State of Missouri is hiring a part-time Social Services Aide/Community Mentor to work with youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will support a therapeutic environment, transport youths, and help them access education, work, and community resources.

Applicants should be empathetic, professional, and able to communicate clearly. A valid driver’s license is required; benefits may not be provided for this hourly, non-benefit eligible role.

Responsibilities

• Transport youth to school, appointments, or meetings in a state vehicle.
• Spend time with youth to build constructive relationships and provide guidance.
• Provide tutoring or academic assistance as needed.
• Assist clients in securing employment and developing opportunities.
• Maintain written logs and report to supervisor regularly.
• Monitor attendance at school, GED, jobs, and meetings.
• Develop resources and connect families with community services.
