Qualifications

• MLS (preferred) or BA in a related field plus Vermont Certificate of Public Librarianship.
• Minimum of 2 years library experience with varied supervisory responsibilities.
• Public library experience preferred, including programming, cataloging, staff supervision, and collection development.
• Strong time management and the ability to work in a PC/Windows environment with basic software skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Youth Services Department and assist Director; oversee the library and staff one day weekly inDirector's absence.
• Plan and execute weekly literacy programming, school break and summer reading programs.
• Curate a robust collection for ages 0-18; maintain safe, inviting youth area.
• Oversee room rentals, billing, and payments.
