Job summary

NYC Administration for Children’s Services is seeking a Community Coordinator to support youth services, complete intakes, and coordinate with families and external providers. The role requires strong organization, trauma-informed practice, and bilingual communication when needed.

The selected candidate will travel for home visits, attend community meetings, and work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a committed team serving delinquency and foster-care related cases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of community work experience or equivalent.
  • High school diploma with 6 years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant experience if using the alternative path.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with residents to discuss needs, concerns, and progress.
  • Complete intakes, PREA assessments, and progress notes.
  • Prepare court-ordered adjustment reports and documentation.
  • Communicate with parents and attorneys; coordinate referrals.
