Job summary

State of Missouri Division of Youth Services seeks a Social Services Aide/Community Mentor to support youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will transport youth, build constructive relationships, and help provide structure, guidance and tutoring in a therapeutic setting.

A valid driver's license is required; prior juvenile work is preferred. This part-time role pays $16.84 per hour, with potential higher rates by pay differentials, and does not include benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with juveniles or youth programs preferred.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not disqualify applicants.

Responsibilities

• Transport youth to school, appointments, and activities in a state vehicle.
• Engage youth in constructive activities and provide structure and guidance.
• Tutor or provide academic assistance and assist with employment opportunities.
• Maintain written logs of client contact and report to supervisor.
• Develop community resources and monitor attendance at school and other activities.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
