Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential programs. The role requires compassionate, professional conduct, and the ability to communicate clearly with youth, families, staff, and the public.

Positions may include evening or night shifts with a $2.00 per hour differential. The current rate is shown as semi-monthly pay; higher rates may apply based on shift or service pay.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, nonjudgmental and respectful interaction with youth and families.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a residential/day treatment setting.
• Familiarity with safety, security, and crisis intervention in youth programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide Awareness Supervision of youth and oversee conduct, care and therapy.
• Monitor youth activity, behavior and movement in residential/day treatment settings.
• Maintain security and assist with physical restraints during emergencies or altercations.
• Supervise youth during activities and inspect facilities for health and safety hazards.
• Assist youths with personal issues and refer to group activities per program.
• Implement group and individual treatment plans and maintain client records.
• Dispense medications to youth and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
• Transport and escort youth in various situations; log hours and attend required meetings.
• May assist in educational program; perform other duties as assigned.
