Job summary

mpathic is seeking contracted Youth Safety Experts to support AI safety initiatives focused on children and adolescents across conversational, entertainment, and gaming contexts. Candidates with lived or professional youth experience are encouraged to apply.

You will evaluate AI responses for age-appropriateness, safety, and policy compliance while collaborating with engineers and safety teams. Responsibilities span roleplaying scenarios, red teaming for edge cases, and developing evaluation

Qualifications

• Experience with youth safety, online culture, and moderation.
• Ability to assess risk signs in youth interactions.
• Comfort working remotely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Roleplaying youth-facing scenarios with AI agents.
• Red teaming for age-appropriate content and edge cases.
• Identify signs of distress, coercion, grooming, or unsafe influence.
• Evaluate AI responses for safety and tone.
• Provide expert feedback on youth safety policies.
• Document edge cases and emerging risks.
