Job summary

YMCA of Montclair seeks a SACC Site Director to lead a developmentally appropriate childcare program at one site, managing extended care activities and events while safeguarding all children.

Responsibilities include planning curriculum, supervising staff, communicating with parents, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Part-time, afternoons, with a pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour and YMCA benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Clearance from a criminal background check is required.
• Demonstrate a positive and constructive attitude in a childcare setting.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or certify within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and supervise activity curriculum for camp groups during the summer.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and communicate effectively.
• Maintain clean, organized environment aligned with program standards.
• Promote health, safety, and development of each child.
• Supervise staff performance and manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Attend abuse risk management training and adhere to policies.
