Glacial Community YMCA seeks a Youth Room Attendant to create a fun, safe, and welcoming space for children and teens in after-school activities. You will help ensure well-being and build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff in line with YMCA values.

This part-time role offers evening shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with opportunities for additional hours. Certifications must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged youth or teens is preferred.
• Must be willing to attend meetings and trainings and obtain additional certifications as requested.
• Certifications listed (CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication) must be maintained within first 90 days.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a fun, safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children and youth participating in Youth Room activities. The Youth Room Attendant ensures the well-being of all participants while fostering positive relationships with youth, families, and staff in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures, and values.

SCHEDULE:

Looking for an after-school position? This role is ideal for someone seeking part-time evening hours. We are currently hiring for shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with opportunities for additional hours as needed.
