Job summary

The Watertownchamber is seeking a Youth Room Attendant to create a fun, safe, welcoming environment for children and youth in YMCA programs after school.

This part-time position offers evenings, with shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and requires CPR/AED/First Aid and other certifications within 90 days. You will support the YMCA's mission and engage with youth, families, and staff while following policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with school-aged youth and teens.
• Certifications that must be obtained within 90 days: CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a fun, safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children and youth participating in Youth Room activities. The Youth Room Attendant ensures the well-being of all participants while fostering positive relationships with youth, families, and staff in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures, and values.

SCHEDULE

Looking for an after-school position? This role is ideal for someone seeking part-time evening hours. We are currently hiring for shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with opportunities for additional hours as needed.
