Job summary

The Idaho Youth Ranch is opening a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth in Treasure Valley. We are hiring a Youth Residential Nurse to provide direct patient care, monitor visits, and perform weekly health assessments. Must be an Idaho-licensed RN aged 21+, with a valid driver's license and basic computer/EHR skills.

BLS and inpatient psychiatry experience preferred. 4/10 night shift from 10pm to 8am.

Qualifications

• RN license in Idaho is required.
• Ability to provide direct patient care and monitoring.
• Knowledge of computer and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to youth in residential setting.
• Conduct nursing assessments upon admission and weekly thereafter.
• Oversee and administer medications per psychiatry protocols.
• Triage emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Triage clients to determine appropriate level of care.

• At least 21 years of age
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Idaho

Must have valid, state-issued drivers license or obtain one within 15 days of hire, as a condition of continued employment

• Knowledge of computer and EHR systems

Preferred:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting

Our Youth Residential Nurses:

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring visits
• Conduct nursing and health assessments upon admission and on a weekly basis for each youth

• Oversee and execute medication administration, including observation of psychiatry protocols

• Triage of emergency or urgent situations; administer emergency or first aid care; triage clients to determine the appropriate level of care necessary for the health and safety of the clients
