Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Program Supervisor I for the East Mountain Youth Lodge (EMYL) to lead day-to-day operations, hire and train direct care staff, and ensure compliance with licensing standards. The role includes budgeting, meal planning, and supervision of staff across shifts.

Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with a minimum of 2 years working with adolescents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years working with adolescents in a similar environment.
• AHA HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED Certification, or completed within the first 90 days of employment.
• LSW, LCSW, LAC or LPC is preferred.
• CADC or LCADC or similar experience in addiction treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing and hiring EMYL direct care staff and participating in recruitment events as needed.
• Supervises orientation and training of Residential Counselors, Shift Leaders and Senior Shift Leaders; ensures staff competency.
• Works with Staffing Coordinator to maintain 24-hour staff coverage and handle PTO requests in weekly meetings.
• Provides direct supervision and feedback to direct care staff; conducts progressive discipline when needed.
• Assists in budgeting and tracking expenditures; manages pre-approved food budget and resident meals planning.
• Maintains petty cash and ledgers; manages clothing money and reconciles funds.
• Runs group meetings weekly and participates in community meetings for residents and families.
• Ensures timely collection and accuracy of midnight census reports; runs leadership and staff meetings.
• Handles resident grievances and participates in treatment or emergency meetings as needed.
• Assists with Referral/Admissions activities and maintains on-call status throughout the year.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field

AHA HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED Certification

LSW, LCSW, LAC or LPC (preferred)

CADC or LCADC or similar experience in addiction treatment (preferred)
