Job summary

Fresno Mission seeks a Residential Youth Program Coordinator to lead the Youth Services residential program, providing Christ-centered leadership, mentorship, and support to youth in care.

You will train staff in mentorship strategies and trauma-informed approaches, maintain safety and structure, and document case notes while fostering personal growth and faith development in participants.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Service, Youth Ministry or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, ministry experience, and youth development experience may be considered.
• 3 years of experience working with youth, young adults, vulnerable populations, or related human services preferred.
• Experience with conflict resolution, accountability, and trauma informed care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the residential program.
• Identify operational concerns and opportunities for improvement and communicate them to the Director of Youth Services.
• Meet regularly with staff to review goals, progress and challenges.
• Coach and support staff in effective youth engagement and mentorship.
• Hold youth and staff accountable through clear communication and constructive feedback.
• Address conflicts, behavioral concerns, and barriers to progress with compassionate but direct conversations.
• Monitor the residential environment to ensure it remains safe, clean, structured and supportive.
• Lead or participate in daily devotionals, prayer, and spiritual growth activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and program records.
• Maintain a small case load if necessary.
• Foster a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes personal responsibility, life skills and spiritual development.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure significant incidents are documented and escalated when necessary.
