Community Health Resources (CHR) seeks a Residential Counselor for Mills House in Windsor, CT. This on-site, full-time position requires evening and weekend hours to support five boys aged 14–21 in a community-based group home setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, two years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. CHR emphasizes growth, training, and collaborative care within a supportive team.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience working with a relevant population preferred.
• Valid driver's license required with good driving record.
• Substantial child care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitors self-administration of client medications as required.
• Uses appropriate communication tools to collaborate with staff and clients.
• Teaches and assists residents in activities of daily living.
• Assists/Manages administrative functions as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Addresses medical and psychiatric needs for residents.
